Individuals with autism and their families will be families who need help throughout their lives. Providing them with help and solutions throughout their lives is the main point of autism awareness. This awareness can be gained in many different ways. It is done through advocacy and support; greater understanding and acceptance; and advancing research into causes and better interventions by people with autism themselves, their families, associations, committees, etc.
Through partnerships and collaboration, people related to this area are committed to:
- Boosting global understanding of people on the spectrum
- Increasing acceptance of people with an autism spectrum disorder
- To advocate for research initiatives for life-enhancing individuals with autism
- Increasing the understanding of the importance of early screening and timely interventions
- Improving the transition
- Ensuring access to reliable information and services throughout the life span

The United Nations declared World Autism Awareness Day on April 2 in order to raise awareness of autism and to find solutions to autism-related problems. The Autism Awareness Month, which started on April 2 every year since 2008, aims to promote research on autism all over the world and to increase awareness and promote early diagnosis and treatment.
Autism groups are a very important civil society movement working to ensure the full participation of individuals with autism in economic, social and cultural life in order to raise awareness of autism. Their organizations are mainly family members who are primarily affected by autism. The groups aiming at lobbying activities and communication activities in social awareness and structuring activities about autism call on all families and volunteers to join and support as much as possible the affiliated associations and foundations.
Stating that there is a great need for structured institutions where individuals with autism will be educated, entertained, work and produce, integrate with other people, engage in social activities, acquire skills, develop their talents and shelter, the foundation authorities should be able to make these individuals’ lives easier and more anxious. It needs to be stressed.
